Reporting to provincial Party Committee Secretary when he came to inspect the BOT project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13, Nguyen Thanh Tam, Chairman of Thuan An city’s People's Committee said that the city was very determined in compensation and site clearance over the past time. Besides, the majority of people agreed to abide by the policy of handing over the site, so the compensation and site clearance work achieved many positive results.
Accordingly, for the section from Tu Do intersection to Le Hong Phong intersection (4.9 km long), up to now, the section through Thuan An city has handed over the site of 31,113.5 out of 41,042.1 square meters ( about 76%) to the construction unit. The section through Thu Dau Mot city has handed over the site of 4,904.1 out of 5,106.3 square meters (or 96% of total). Particularly, the section from Ong Bo bridge to Huu Nghi intersection (2.9 km long) has handed over 17.8% of the site so far. The section from Vinh Phu welcome gate to Ong Bo bridge (4.9 km long) has also handed over 1.6% of the site.
Mr. Tam said that Thuan An city is determined to complete the compensation and site clearance of the whole route by the end of September 2023. However, the city’s site clearance is currently facing many obstacles related to the relocation of the power grid technical infrastructure within the scope of protection of the road traffic infrastructure under the provisions of the Government’s Decree No. 11/2010/ Decree-CP dated February 24, 2010. Currently, Thuan An city is coordinating with provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Binh Duong Power Company and relevant units to complete procedures, carry out the relocation of the power grid after being approved by relevant authorities.
The situation of "being entangled" in the power grid has not only hindered the process of compensation and site clearance in the BOT project of upgrading and expanding National Highway 13, but also been an obstacle when performing site clearance in the project of upgrading and expanding the projects of DT746 street and North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang arterial street...
