Int’l investigative journalism seminar held

At the seminar, deputies heard about experiences shared by Mr. Stephen Whittle, former edit director of BBC (the United Kingdom), introduction of thesis themed “Vietnamese and international investigation journalism” presented by Tran Le Thuy, director of Centre for Journalism and Development Initiatives as well as role and reality of investigation journalism presented by journalist Le Xuan Trung (general secretary of Tuoi Tre Newspaper), Vu Binh (head of social politics board of Tuoi Tre Newspaper) and Duc Hien (general secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper).

Concluding the seminar, Pham Quoc Toan, deputy president of the Association of Vietnamese Journalist said “Investigative journalism is one of key and basic items of modern press. Investigative journalism works with high quality will contribute to affirm name, prestige of mass media and contribute positively to the country’s development, ect”.
