More than VND 3.6 billion of preferential loans for work suspension wage payment

Starting from August 27th, Binh Duong Social Policy Bank branch has applied credit contracts for enterprises affected by Covid-19 at 6/7 transaction offices in the province.

To implement Resolution 68 of the Government and Decision 23 (now is Decision 33) of the Prime Minister, SBV branches of districts, towns and cities in Binh Duong province have cooperated with departments and agencies to enhance information about the Party and State’s policies on lending loans to employees and employers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic of most companies and businesses in the area.

Accordingly, as of October 31, Binh Duong SBV branch signed a contract to disbursement loans under Decision 23 with the amount of more than VND 3.6 billion to pay the salaries to 462 workers who are suspended from work due to the disease, with an interest rate of 0% per year, 12-month loan period and overdue interest rate is 12% per year. Provincial SBV branch recorded 32 enterprises registered for the loans to support 21,000 employees with the amount of VND 180 billion.
