Nearly VND 1,646 billion to be spent on building roads from Tam Lap to Bau Bang and Tan Long to Lai Uyen

Early October 5, Bau Bang district’s People's Committee coordinated with Phu Giao district’s People's Committee to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the road from Tam Lap three-way crossroad to Bau Bang and the road from Tan Long  to  Lai Uyen, which belongs to the North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang arterial road in Lai Uyen township.

The event was attended by Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Pham Van Chanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ha emphasized that this is an important event in the context of having to safely adapt to Covid-19 pandemic and promoting disbursement of public investment capital, contributing to the local economic recovery. The two works with construction commenced today are the result of the efforts by the People's Committees of Bau Bang and Phu Giao districts; provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board; coordination between departments, agencies and sectors amid the complicated developments of Covid-19 pandemic. He acknowledged and spoke highly of investment preparations for the two works while thanking people and enterprises for wholeheartedly supporting the above projects, especially having good coordination in compensation and site clearance and accompanying the province in Covid-19 prevention and control over the past time. After these works were commenced for construction, the investors must immediately deploy synchronous construction solutions in accordance with the motto of "Safety is to produce, production must be safe", ensuring the quality and progress of construction of the works, coordinating with relevant units for close management and supervision; ensure compliance with regulations, standards, processes and regulations on construction, basic construction order.

The project of building the road from Tam Lap three-way crossroad to Bau Bang and the road from Tan Long  to  Lai Uyen has total investment of nearly VND 1,646 billion with a total length of 26,277km (Phu Giao with 17,629km, Bau Bang with 8,648km). The roads are designed with the speed of 80km/h with 6 lanes, surface structure of hot asphalt concrete. On the road from Tam Lap three-way crossroads to Bau Bang, there are 4 bridges built with prestressed reinforced concrete, with a designed lifetime of 100 years. This is an important traffic route, connecting the districts of North Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Bau Bang and Dong Phu district in Binh Phuoc province, shortening people’s time for travelling and reducing goods transportation costs.
