Early September 9, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee and members of provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control held a delegation to visit and encourage doctors, medical workers, security forces, volunteers recovered from Covid-19 and F0 cases being treated at provincial field hospital No. 1’s Thoi Hoa treatment facility in Ben Cat town.

Recoveries taking care of F0 cases

Reporting to the delegation, Dr.Le Ngoc Vu, Medical Director of provincial Field Hospital No. 1’s Thoi Hoa treatment facility said that up to now, the treatment facility has cured and discharged more than 6,500 Covid-19 patients. Currently, it has 4 areas  A - B - C - D with nearly 12,000 F0 cases from mild to moderate symptoms. With such large number of F0 cases, the treatment facility has faced overloads because only having more than 300 doctors and medical workers. The support in human resources from many units in the province and other localities have not met the treatment facility’s demand for human resources yet. Under the province’s direction on speeding up testing, separating F0 cases from the community, it is expected that the treatment facility will be upgraded, raising its total number of beds to about 27,000 beds.

A recovery from Covid-19 volunteers to serve F0 cases being treated at provincial field hospital No. 1’s Thoi Hoa treatment facility

Regarding a recent incident, doctor Le Ngoc Vu said that the treatment facility has disseminated its rules among patients. Up to now, all activities here have taken place very orderly. The propaganda of rules is broadcasted by the treatment facility’s management board on the internal loudspeaker system regularly at fixed times of the day.

To alleviate difficulties in human resources, the hospital has mobilized recoveries to get involved in anti-pandemic work at the treatment facility. Currently, there are 70 recoveries to participate in pandemic prevention and control here. Nguyen Dinh Hung, a worker of Hoan Hao Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Company in Tan Uyen town said that he and some colleagues have volunteered to serve at the treatment facility after recovering from the pandemic. “During the time of treatment here, we received good care from doctors and nurses, so our health has been recovered very quickly. Witnessing that the treatment facility has constantly received more F0 cases, leading to the overload of power and water system. With skills in this field, we have volunteered to come back here to work", he shared.

Bui Anh Tuan, leader of a group of recoveries who have volunteered to work for the treatment facility said that these recoveries are divided into groups to do many different jobs such as serving rice, cleaning up, disseminating rules of the treatment facility among patients being treated… Along with being trained in terms of basic knowledge in Covid-19 prevention and control, health care, etc., they are all equipped with protective clothing and subsidized VND 200,000 per person per day.

Feeling secure for treatment

After listening to the feelings and opinions of doctors, medical staff, volunteers and F0 cases being treated at the treatment facility, Mr. Thao praised the efforts by frontline forces here in treating and taking care of patients. He also called for them to further uphold their achievements in the coming time, make every effort, be constantly creative in management as well as treatment and health care for all F0 cases so that they can soon recover and return home.

For recoveries who have volunteered to work for the treatment facility, he wanted them to further make efforts in overcoming difficulties to complete their tasks as well spreading their energy of winning against the pandemic to patients. This is because the recovered F0 cases are seen as the living proof to encourage other F0 cases to be assured for treatment to soon get recovery. Sharing with F0 cases who are being treated at the treatment facility, Mr. Thao said that the province is drastically detecting and separating  F0 cases from the community to soon bring Binh Duong back to a "new normal" state.

Currently, the number of Covid-19 patients being treated is too large while medical forces are lacking. Hence, there are patient overloads at province-based hospitals and field treatment facilities. Frontline forces are struggling to be able to serve, meet the essential needs of thousands of people. Therefore, they are sometimes awkward, not thoughtful and complete in some things. Provincial leaders have also directed relevant units and localities to overcome these shortcomings while wanting patients to sympathize and share by well complying rules, cooperating with doctors and nurses in treatment, etc, joining hands with the community to fight the pandemic effectively.

At the end of the talk, Mr. Thao sent his best wishes to all F0 cases being treated at the treatment facility. He also encouraged them to keep their mind for treatment to be able to recover soon. Representative of the F0 cases being treated here also thanked the attention and encouragement of provincial leaders while promising to get treatment with peace of mind, well complying with rules of the treatment facility to recover soon.
