No new COVID-19 infection detected in the province

In the afternoon of July 3, Binh Duong provincial Department of Health announced that in the past 24 hours, the whole province had not recorded new cases of COVID-19 infection. Accumulated from the beginning of 2022, the province has recorded more than 93,000 cases of COVID-19 including 12 cases of Omicron mutation. Statistics in the 4th epidemic wave of the province recorded 383,726 COVID-19 infections and 3,475 deaths. Currently, the whole province has 26 patients being treated at home and 2 patients being treated on the 2nd floor of the treatment triage.

For many days, the health system in the province has not recorded any F0 deaths. By synthesizing data from localities, the Department of Health also announced an assessment of the epidemic level at the commune, ward and township level in the province. Accordingly, from June 23 to June 29, all 91 communes, wards and towns were at epidemic level 1 of the new normal. In the face of unpredictable developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, especially the emergence of a new strain BA.5 of the SARS-CoV-2 that had entered Vietnam. In order to strengthen COVID-19 control and create favorable conditions of promoting socio-economic recovery and development as the province advocates speeding up the vaccination against COVID-19 for target groups.

The health sector has urgently and drastically sped up the progress of vaccination against COVID-19 with doses 3 and 4 for people of 12 years of age and older, 2 injections for children from 5 years old to under 12 years old. The sector is also resolute in timely and effective use of the number of COVID-19 vaccines allocated by the Ministry of Health to avoid waste. In particular, in the current situation, the sector provides adequate and timely medicines, biological products, supplies and equipment for medical examination and treatment and for COVID-19 prevention and control.
