In July, Di An city’s sectors, authorities and mass organizations at all levels have implemented many significant activities towards the War Invalids and Martyrs ‘Day with deep grateful heart. They have held delegations to visit, offer gifts to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors with extremely difficult circumstances…, contributing to encouraging them to further uphold revolutionary traditions, building up a more and more prosperous and beautiful Di An.
Diverse care activities
To mark the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs ‘Day, sectors and mass organizations in Di An city have been proactive to catch the lives of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors. Especially, they have attached special importance to taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors with difficult circumstances. Along with gifts apportioned, all 7 wards of the city have actively mobilized organizations, individuals to support gifts for policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors.

Noticeably, a delegation of leaders from the city’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee will visit and offer gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids with extremely difficult circumstances. On this occasion, the city will present 50 gifts to policy beneficiaries from the local State budget.
The city’s Health Center will also coordinate with the city’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), the People’s Committees of wards to provide free medical check-up, medicine for 50 policy beneficiaries with extremely difficult circumstances. Especially, the city will organize a requiem and a candle-burning ceremony to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at the local Martyrs ‘Cemetery. Along with the city’s plan, sectors and mass organizations have set up their own plans to take care of policy beneficiaries on this occasion. The city’s Youth Union has made a plan caring for the families of war invalids, lonely heroic Vietnamese mothers; set up delegations to clean up the local martyrs ‘cemeteries. The city’s Youth Union has also visited, donated 6 gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, armed force heroes, ex-youth volunteers with difficult circumstances.

Di An city now has a total of 1,005 policy beneficiaries enjoying monthly allowances. The city’s DoLISA has advised the city’s People’s Committee on strengthening the movement of paying debt of gratitude, well realizing care for policy beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors as stipulated. With achievements done, all 7 wards of the city have been recognized as localities with the title of “Ward excels at war invalid-martyr work”. Truong Thi Xuong, Deputy Head of the city’s DoLISA said that despite the impacts from Covid-19 pandemic, the city has continued promoting the Gratitude Fund with VND500million supported for 39 cases. The city’s DoLISA has also worked with the People’s Committees of wards to recheck and support 783 revolutionary contributors affected by Covid-19 pandemic under the Government’s Resolution No.42. The city has also strengthened propaganda and education about the significance of War Invalids and Martyrs’Day among young generations…
