Phu Giao attaches special importance to social welfare, child protection

In the first half of 2022, Phu Giao district spent nearly VND 54 billion on taking care of social and policy beneficiaries under to the State's regulations. Particularly, the district took 100 revolutionary contributors to Lam Dong province’s Nursing Center and subsidized funding for 125 others for home nursing.

The district also approved a list of 32 cases being revolutionary contributors in need of housing under the Resolution No. 17/NQHĐND of Binh Duong province; built 3 houses, repaired 29 houses and built and repaired 2 “great unity” houses, built 6 houses of compassion for poor and near-poor households. In addition, the district rechecked a list of the local poor and near-poor households to promptly have policies on poverty escape support. The district-based branch of the Bank for Social Policies disbursed VND 520 million in loan for 12 poor, near-poor households and households just escaping poverty to develop homebased models.

In addition, the district organized 37 training courses on cultivation and animal husbandry techniques for nearly 2,000 local farmers; introduced jobs to nearly 1,700 employees....

The district also organized 20 training courses on propaganda of the Law on Children, prevention of violence against children, accidents and injuries in children and methods of child care management...
