Production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery reaches nearly 18,000 billion VND

On January 11, provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to review the Party building work and summarize activities of the agriculture and rural development sector in 2021. Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, attended the conference.

In 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic developed complicatedly, directly affected agricultural production and product supply, demand; agricultural product prices fluctuated much; disruptions in the production stage and the supply of agricultural products, consumption was slow... However, with the great efforts and determination of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, the province's agricultural production in general still attain good results. Accordingly, the production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery in 2021 reached VND 17,743 billion, up 2.01% compared to 2020.

Speaking at the conference, Mai Hung Dung acknowledged and appreciated the results achieved by Agriculture and Rural Development sector in 2021. He also asked the sector continue to develop achievements in the program of new rural construction, upgrade to advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas according to the plan; especially speed up the construction of Bach Dang Smart Village; develop infrastructure; focus on irrigation development and capacity building for natural disaster prevention and adaptation to climate change; actively integrate into the world; enhance the application of science and technology, transform into digitized agriculture...
