Promulgation of benefits of the third COVID-19 shot intensified

On Jan 4, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a meeting to check the COVID-19 prevention control in Di An city.

About the disease situation, Pham Van Bay, Vice Chairman of Di An city People's Committee, said: Currently, the city still has one treatment area for COVID-19 patients in An Binh ward with 32 patients; in which, there were 12 cases of oxygen breathing, 3 cases of HFNC breathing. The number of COVID-19 patients in the city is on a decreasing trend, accordingly, the number of serious patients requiring hospitalization, health monitoring and treatment also decreases.

Speaking at the inspection, Nguyen Loc Ha asked the city leaders to intensify promulgation of benefits of vaccination against Covid-19 so that people would actively go for full vaccination; strive to complete the campaign of third shot for people before the Lunar New Year. He also asked the city leaders to be flexible and proactive in terms of time and place, calling for socialization and creating the most favorable conditions for people to receive vaccination.

The team also inspected a vaccination site at Tan Dong Hiep B primary school in Tan Dong Hiep ward and treatment area for COVID-19 patients in An Binh ward. Huynh Minh Chin, Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Health, said: In response to the Omicron mutation, the city is implementing a plan to give the third dose vaccine against COVID-19. In particular, the city has strengthened treatment on the second tier, improved the quality of mobile medical stations combined with conventional medical stations to provide better care and treatment for F0s at home.

Regarding the pandemic situation on January 4, provincial Department of Health announced that the whole province recorded 65 new cases through RT-PCR testing, 2,714 patients recovered (including patients with positive rapid test), and 7 deaths. So far, the province has recorded 291,061 COVID-19 infection cases, 486,068 recovered patients (including rapid test) and 3,251 deaths.
