Province wins 8 medals at national Vovinam champs

The 2019 National Vovinam (traditional Vietnamese martial arts) Championships was co-organized by the Vietnam Vovinam Federation, the National Sports Administration and Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism from October 15 to 24.

The event attracted the participation of 400 martial artists, including 137 female players from 30 teams from across the country. They competed for 48 sets of medals in combat and performance.

At the event, there were 22 martial artists from Binh Duong’s sports delegation. As a result, the delegation grasped 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. The delegation’s only gold medal at the event went to Pham Tan Duy Son in the men’s 77kg-weight category.
