Provincial leaders receive delegation of Kien Giang province senior specialists

 Morning 3 May, Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mai Hung Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, received the delegation of training course for senior professionals of Kien Giang province. The delegation came to study and learn experiences of Binh Duong province.

At the meeting, provincial leaders introduced the history as well as handicraft villages and current changes of Binh Duong. In recent years, Binh Duong has developed strongly in industrial production, improved investment environment, modernized public administration and international integration. The province's socio-economy continued to develop well in a favorable direction; targets and indicators of socio-economic development have been on a rise over years. Foreign relations were strengthened, and brought many practical effects in investment attraction, socio-economic development, and in the construction of Binh Duong Smart City.

The work to ensure social security and welfare was well performed. Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2018 was ranked 6th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, and ranked first in the Southeast region (up 8 grades compared to 2017); Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) was ranked 39/63 provinces and cities (up 23 grades compared to 2017). Binh Duong has continued to be evaluated as one of the most attractive investment environment in the country. This is an important foundation for Binh Duong to innovate and develop strongly in the future.

Previously, the delegation made a visit to some industrial zones in the province and Provincial Public Administration Center.
