Provincial People's Council supervises operation of wastewater surveillance and treatment system at enterprise

On the afternoon of November 19, the Supervisory Delegation No. 1 of provincial People's Council’s Commission for Economics-State Budget supervised the installation and operation of the automatic wastewater treatment and surveillance system at Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company’s Binh Duong branch in Thuan An city’s An Phu ward.

At the working session, Le Van Vinh, Director of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company’s Binh Duong branch reported the installation and operation of the wastewater treatment and surveillance system at the branch over the past years years to the delegation. Accordingly, the branch currently has two wastewater treatment systems with the capacity of between 200 cu.m and 650 cu.m per day…

After hearing a report from representative of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company’s Binh Duong branch, members of the delegation had practical suggestions, helping the branch have a direction to strengthen its human resources, plan on upgrading and expanding the wastewater treatment and survelliance system; take the initiative in setting up plans and solutions to prevent incidents, ensuring that there is no risk of wastes being released to the environment.

Speaking at the working session, Tran Thi Minh Hanh, Head of provincial People's Council’s Commission for Economics – State Budget, Head of the supervisory delegation said that the installation and operation of the wastewater surveillance and treatment system have basically met requirements under the regulations of the province and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Mrs. Hanh said that in the coming time, provincial People's Council will have a working sessions with provincial Environmental Surveillance Center and Department of Natural Resources and Environment to get professional issues in detail in wastewater treatment and survelliance at the enterprise and will notify the results of the survelliance to the enterprise.

The delegation also had a field trip to the area where the enterprise’s automatic wastewater survelliance and treatment system is installed. Here, representative of the enterprise introduced the wastewater treatment system under European technology with many highly specialized treatment stages to the delegation.
