Provincial Red Cross offers humanitarian works and supports Covid-19 orphans

On December 13, Red Cross Society of Binh Duong province presented humanitarian works to disadvantaged people and supported children who lost their parents due to the Covid-19 in Tan Uyen town. Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of the Provincial Red Cross; and local leaders.

Accordingly, the Provincial Red Cross financed the construction of two houses for two poor households, total cost of 140 million VND (70 million VND each). In addition, in order to share a part of the loss with orphans, who lost their parents during the recent Covid-19 outbreak, to help them have more favorable conditions to go to school, on this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross gave with an amount of 320 million VND (each child 5 million VND in cash) to 64 children. Total value of the support for disadvantaged people in Tan Uyen Town was 460 million VND.

l On the same day, the Provincial Red Cross collaborated with Red Cross of Dau Tieng district to hand over three houses to three poor  households in the district. Total construction value of the three houses was 295 million VND; in which the Provincial Red Cross supported 80 million VND each of  the construction cost, the rest was contributed by the families. On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross gave money to support two orphans due to the Covid-19, each child received 5 million VND in cash.

l On the same day, the Provincial Red Cross also collaborated with Red Cross of Di An City to present humanitarian work to disadvantaged people and support children who lost their parents due to the Covid-19 in the city. The humanitarian work supported by the Provincial Red Cross in Di An City was 14 sugarcane juice carts for people having difficult circumstances. Total cost of the project was 140 million VND. On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross also gave money to support 26 children who lost their parents due to the Covid-19, with a total support of 130 million VND (each child 5 million VND in cash).
