Role-models in Red Cross work honored

Early July 22, Thuan An city’s Red Cross Society held a conference honoring role-models in the 2015-2020 period.

Outstanding collectives honored at the event

Over the past five years, the society coordinated with the city’s sectors and mass organizations to organize social charity activities. Under the movement of “Tet for the poor, Agent Orange victims”, the society offered 35,200 gifts worth more than VND14.6billion to needy people. The society also effectively realized models, giving timely help to disadvantaged cases; organized 5 blood donation stages, collecting 11,089 units of blood, equivalent to 3,880 liters of blood worth more than VND2billion.

On this occasion, the city’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to outstanding collectives, individuals in activities of the society in the 2015-2020 period.
