Sharing Tet, warm spring

These days, employees seem happier when many companies have announced Tet bonuses and the 13th month salary. This is because unlike previous years, enterprises have just experienced a difficult year, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, above all, joining hands with the province, many enterprises have still tried to take care of their employees during Tet. According to statistics from provincial Labor Unions at all levels, up to now, more than 70% of enterprises have announced Tet bonuses for employees. In the context that production and business activities have just been recovered after the pandemic, many enterprises are deliberating Tet bonuses for employees. The figure of 70% has partly shown a great effort by enterprises as well as provincial Labor Union and trade unions at all levels in coordination and mobilization to encourage and take care of employees during the traditional Tet holiday. Provincial Labor Confederation has also asked for trade unions at all levels to actively join hands with authorities to grasp the situation in the implementation of provisions on wages and bonuses on Tet,  thereby promptly detecting and taking measures to ensure the rights and interests of employees in enterprises facing difficulties, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

For all employees to enjoy Tet, in addition to the cost of taking care of employees under the plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the province will also support nearly 24,000 gifts worth VND500,000 for employees with difficult circumstances, with a total amount of about VND12billion. Despite difficulties, the province’s total estimated cost to take care of employees to welcome the Tet (Lunar New Year) 2022 is more than VND 435 billion. Some enterprises have also been proactive to set up Tet bonus plans very early. For example, Sonova Vietnam Co., Ltd in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) has the lowest bonus of one month's basic salary while Zengshing Vietnam Co., Ltd in VSIP also has Tet bonuses that are equal to or higher than last year. In addition to the 13th month salary, some other companies have also supported rental charges for workers, helped those who return home to celebrate Tet as well as a number of other programs in celebration of the spring...

The pandemic is still complicated. Some remaining companies are also calculating other options compared to the previous year to pay more appropriate tribute to their employees. Experiencing a year full of challenges from the pandemic, many enterprises have to do their best in production and business activities as well as taking care of workers' lives. Tet is coming, no matter how much or little, sharing always brings the warmth of spring...
