Update: 10-02-2015 | 11:42:29

Several new tourism services will be launched by central Thanh Hoa province this year in response to the 2015 National Tourism Year, including 11 new tours linked with a variety of local tourist attractions.

The tours run through the province’s landscapes, historic relics and traditional handicraft villages, including the Tien Son cave, Doc Cuoc temple, Co Tien pagoda, Cam Luong Stream of Gold Fish, World Cultural Heritage Citadel of the Ho Dynasty, Lam Kinh National Special Relic, Ham Rong Culture Tourism Area , Thieu Trung commune’s traditional bronze casting village, Hoi Dao traditional market, and Sam Son beach.

Thanh Hoa has been accelerating its promotion activities to develop its tourism image, introduce opportunities for tourism investment, and create new tours attracting visitors from both traditional and new markets.

Tours that connect with popular destinations of Hanoi, Ninh Binh and central southern provinces, for example “Journey to Vietnam’s Capital” and “World Heritage Journey”, are also promoted.

In addition, the province has invested in upgrading its infrastructure, particularly roads to key tourism sites, in an effort to contribute to a successful National Tourism Year.

It has focused on developing local accommodation places to add to its current 672 facilities offering 14,000 rooms, including calling for investment in three-star hotels and above and resorts.

The locality expects to have the capacity of 16,000 rooms by the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year, which is scheduled for March, to serve an estimated 5.5 million tourist arrivals.
