My Phuoc Ward serves as the political, economic, and cultural center of Ben Cat City, with a population of nearly 75,300 people. Over 60% of this population consists of workers from other localities who come to work and live here. In recent years, with the timely support and attention from higher authorities, the Ward Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the development of the My Phuoc urban area to become increasingly modern, civilized, and community-oriented, making it worthy of being the central urban area of the young city of Ben Cat.
Efforts to overcome difficulties and rise up
My Phuoc Ward Party Committee has 25 affiliated Party cells with 900 Party members. In recent years, under the leadership and direction of superiors, the solidarity and determination of the Party Committee, government and people in the ward, the socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building and political system of the ward have achieved many outstanding and comprehensive results. The results become even more significant when considering that, during the initial years of implementing the Resolution from the Ward Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, My Phuoc Ward faced numerous difficulties and challenges. The Covid-19 pandemic severely impacted the health and daily lives of residents, as well as production and business activities. This situation was particularly challenging in an area with over 75,000 inhabitants, more than 60% of whom are workers from other localities who come to work and live here.
In this challenging context, the superior Party Committee has provided consistent and timely leadership. The Ward Party Committee has embraced its role, guiding the government and the community in overcoming obstacles. They are committed to effectively achieving the goals and tasks outlined in the Resolution of the 6th Ward Party Congress. During the 2020-2025 term, My Phuoc ward has achieved significant results. Many socio-economic development targets were met and even exceeded, and various programs and projects aimed at implementing the Resolution were completed with positive outcomes. Efforts to restore urban and local order have been strengthened, leading to many positive changes. The cultural - social and digital transformation fields have many clear changes. Both the material and spiritual lives of people are gradually improving. National defense and security are being strengthened and maintained.
Ms. Le Thi Kim Lien, Standing Member of Ben Cat City Party Committee, Secretary of My Phuoc Ward Party Committee, said that after five years of continuous efforts, determination, innovation and creativity, the Party Committee, government and people of My Phuoc Ward have effectively implemented the resolutions of the higher-level Party Committee and the resolutions set forth by the Ward Party Committee, with results reaching and exceeding 16/16 targets. This is an important foundation for the ward to continue to successfully implement the goals and tasks in the new term, building My Phuoc urban area to be more civilized, wealthy and beautiful, making it worthy of being the central urban area of dynamic, modern and welcoming Ben Cat city.
Combine urban development with renewal
The Party Committee of My Phuoc Ward has identified urban construction and development as a key priority. Recently, they have mobilized and utilized various resources to upgrade the urban area in a modern and civilized manner, ensuring a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment. During the 2020-2025 term, the Ward Party Committee has concentrated on leading and directing urban beautification efforts, resulting in significant achievements. Over the past 5 years, the ward has completed 30 traffic and urban beautification projects (100%). In addition, the ward also mobilized social resources to implement 40 lighting routes, concrete paving of 8 streets and many other urban renewal projects.
During the past term, My Phuoc ward effectively implemented the movement "All People Protect National Security." Many collectives, soldiers, and residents distinguished themselves with outstanding achievements and were commended. Numerous security protection models emerged as bright examples throughout the city. The ward police have been recognized as a winning unit for five consecutive years, and My Phuoc ward is the first unit in the province to be acknowledged by the Ministry of Public Security as a model ward for its security, order, and urban civilization.... |
My Phuoc Ward has actively undertaken urban renewal while also implementing Project 01-DA/TU, dated November 3, 2020, from the Town Party Committee (now the City Party Committee). The project focuses on "Improving the quality of urban development in Ben Cat Town during the period of 2020-2025 and beyond." As a result, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of My Phuoc Ward have prioritized leading, directing, and achieving the project's targets and objectives. Consequently, investments in traffic and urban infrastructure have consistently been made, emphasizing upgrades and renovations to ensure a light, green, clean, airy, and safe environment.
Currently, the total number of traffic routes managed by the State and recognized by decisions in the ward is 252 streets. Of which, 174/252 streets were arranged and installed with lighting systems, reaching 69% (exceeding the set target of 65%); 207/252 streets have been invested in upgrading, reaching over 82% (exceeding the set target of 70%)...
In the pursuit of creating a modern and civilized urban area in My Phuoc, the Ward Party Executive Committee has actively researched, adopted, and implemented a variety of effective solutions, models, and innovative approaches. Drawing on feedback from experienced officials, party members, and residents, the Committee took the initiative to develop and promote a project aimed at fostering a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle.
It is clear that the activities associated with the implementation of Project 02 by the Provincial Party Committee, titled "Mass Mobilization Work to Participate in Building a Cultural and Moral Lifestyle," have significantly contributed to the establishment of an urban lifestyle within the community. Residents are increasingly aware of the importance of protecting the environment, maintaining urban order, and developing civilized communities. Effective and practical initiatives such as "Trash-Free Roads," "Civilized Urban Routes," and "Model Residential Areas of Urban Civilization" etc. have played a crucial role in enhancing both the material and spiritual well-being of people in the area.
