In response to the call of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Vietnam Investment Development Group (VID Group) and Maritime Bank have just held a ceremony to raise funds for victims of the Japan’s earthquake and tsunami.

 At the ceremony, Nguyen Thi Nguyet Huong, CEO of VID Group cum Deputy CEO of Maritime Bank expressed her deep sympathy over Japan’s recent earthquake and tsunami and sent condolences to the families of victims. The total money raised at the ceremony amounted to nearly VND1bln.

 It is known that since October 2007, Mrs.Huong and her coworkers at the Vietnam Industry and Trade Association has set up the Support Fund for the Poor with the initial capital of VND10bln contributed by VID Group.
