Implementation of the PCC's Resolution 18-NQ/TW under review

Early December 12, Ben Cat city’s Party Committee held a conference to summarize the implementation of the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Resolution 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017, in attendance of Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

At the conference, the city’s Party Committee's Organization Commission, in coordination with the city’s Division of Home Affairs reported on the results of reviewing the functions, tasks and organizational structure of agencies and units in the list of restructuring and proposed a plan for their reorganization. Specifically, there will be the merger of the city’s Party Committee's Propaganda-Education Commission and Mass Mobilization Commission; the merger of the city’s Division of Economics and Department of Natural Resources and Environment. This reorganization involves transferring State management functions related to trade and industry to the city’s Division of Finance and Planning, transferring State management functions related to science, technology, and innovation to the city’s Division of Culture and Information while other fields will be reassigned to the Division of Natural Resources and Environment.

The conclusion of the operation of the city’s Divisionof Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the reorganization of its functions and tasks, involves transferring State management functions related to social welfare, child protection and care, gender equality and social evils prevention to the city’s Health Division. The State management functions related to vocational education will be transferred to the city’s Division of Education and Training while other remaining fields will be reassigned to the city’s Division of Home Affairs.
