Bau Bang achieves and exceeds all 19 set targets

The 3^rd Bau Bang district’s People's Council for the 2021-2026 tenure has held its 12th session (the regular end-of-year meeting in 2024).

An overview of the session

At the session, members of the district's People's Council reviewed 26 reports, 10 proposals and 10 draft resolutions covering topics related to evaluating the results of the implementation of the district's resolutions on economic-social development, national defense-security, State budget and public investment for 2024. They also considered personnel matters and resolutions within the district’s People's Council's jurisdiction.

The report stated that in 2024, the overall socio-economic situation of the district continued developing, achieving and exceeding many of the set targets and plans. Specifically, the district’s economy grew across all three sectors, reaching and exceeding all 19 set targets and plans. Among these, three targets were beyond expectations, including growth in the services sector, State budget and job creation.

Along with that, the district’s work of ensuring both the material and spiritual lives of the people continued receiving attention and was actively implemented; the situation of political security, order and social safety was maintained…

At the session, delegates also discussed and questioned the implementation of the district’s People's Council's resolution on socio-economic development, covering such fields as security and order, construction investment, natural resources and environment, agriculture, the execution of civil judgments…

The session announced and presented provincial People's Committee Chairman’s decision regarding the approval of Nguyen Phu Cuong as Chairman of Bau Bang district’s People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The session proceeded with the election of the Vice Chairman of the district’s People's Committee for the same term. Accordingly, Nguyen Huu Luan, Secretary of Lai Uyen township’s Party Committee was elected as Vice Chairman of the district’s People's Committee with 26 votes, achieving a 100% approval rate.
