Provincial Women’s Union holds get-together in early year, launching peak emulation campaign

Early January 31, provincial Women's Union held a get-together for the Lunar New Year 2023.

At the get-together, Truong Thanh Nga, Chairwoman of provincial Women's Union said that on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2023, provincial Women's Union in collaboration with the Southern Working Committee of the Women's Union Central Committee and the Women of Military Zone 7 organized a program "Spring of warmness and love" in Ben Cat town, giving Tet gifts worth more than VND 800 million for 780 orphans, female workers who could not return their hometowns for Tet and disadvantaged women in the province; held a series of activities for children and a booth on free haircut…

In addition, provincial Women's Union cooperated with Becamex IDC to support 25 orphans living in Ben Cat town for 2 years with a total cost of VND 600 million. The affiliated units also organized many meaningful activities such as giving 3,175 gifts for members who are ethnic minorities and disadvantaged women, with a total value of more than VND 1.2 billion; donated 3,813 gifts worth more than VND 1.4 billion to female workers; offered 180 Tet gifts worth VND 96 million to disadvantaged children and orphans, due to the Covid-19 pandemic…

On this occasion, provincial Women's Union launched a peak emulation campaign, implementing activities towards International Women's Day (March 8) and the key plan of 2023.
