Spring Volunteer campaign 2023 launched

 *Nearly 200 free charity sites held during Thien Hau Lady temple festival

To uphold the volunteer role of the local youth in social volunteer activities, especially on the occasion of the Thien Hau Lady temple festival, Thu Dau Mot city’s Youth Union has launched 10 volunteer squads to serve the festival in the areas around Thien Hau Lady temples in Phu Cuong and Hoa Phu wards.
The city’s Youth Union members will perform the following tasks: Distributing free incense, happy trees, mineral water, wet tissues, hand fans to pilgrims; helping pilgrims repair puncture in motorbike tyre; guiding them directions and propagandizing them and locals to put garbage in the right place, maintaining environmental hygiene... In addition, the city’s Youth Union and its branches will coordinate with authorities to establish rescue squads, helping passers-by when accidents occur; patrolling, regulating traffic, contributing to maintaining the local security and order during the peak days of the festival.

*Implementing a civilized urban lifestyle, contributing to limiting the situation of inviting pilgrims with insistence to cause disorder at the Thien Hau Lady temple festival, up to now, political organizations, mass organizations, companies, units and people in Thu Dau Mot city have registered nearly 200 charity sites along the local main streets. These charity sites mainly distribute water, wet tissues, free food, incense, flowers... for visitors. It is expected that they will operate from January 12 to 15 of the lunar calendar.

In addition, along Cach Mang Thang Tam, Yersin, Thich Quang Duc streets, the local Youth Union members and people also organize free tyre patching, set up stops for visitors to rest and guide them the way to the festival, organize a first-aid station for visitors when accidents occur... The city also provides free wifi in the area of ​​Thien Hau Lady temple for pilgrims.
