"Warming heart of army-people" program implemented

Early September 21, provincial Military Command held a ceremony to launch the "Warming heart of army-people" program, joining hands with frontline soldiers to help people overcome difficulties, repelling Covid-19 pandemic. The event was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ha said that the local authorities at all levels, sectors and armed forces have always fought the pandemic with the spirit of "fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy", "fighting the pandemic is the task of fighting in peacetime"... to minimize damage caused by the pandemic. Accordingly, tens of thousands of gifts, tons of goods, necessities...worth hundreds of billions of dong were delivered to people with difficult circumstances, due to Covid-19 pandemic through "zero-dong supermarket", "humanitarian market", "zero-dong online market"...

Following the program, the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People's Army under the Ministry of National Defense supported 20,000 gifts for people to overcome difficulties from Covid-19 pandemic. Through provincial Red Cross Society, Labor Union and Military Commands of districts, towns and cities, the above gifts were distributed to families facing circumstances, due to the pandemic.
