Cadres, civil servants, public employees do not use working time or public cars to go to festival

This year's Thien Hau Lady Temple Festival will take place on February 5 (January 15 of lunar calendar) at Thien Hau Lady Temple in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Cuong ward. The festival is forecasted that the number of visitors will increase. This is because after a long delay, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, people’s demand for spring travel and temple visit is high.

Thu Dau Mot city has advocated the organization of the festival in association with the campaign of "Building a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle". In particular, the city’s People's Committee has asked for cadres, civil servants, and employees at agencies and units in the city to strictly follow the regulations of the festival, do not use the State budget, do not use working time and public means of transport to go to the festival (except for cases assigned to perform tasks). The city’s People's Committee will handle violations strictly.

The city’s People's Committee has proposed the Culture and Information Department, the Center for Culture, Information and Sports to coordinate with units and localities to set up inspection teams to ensure that the organization of the festival is dignified and in accordance with the national customs and traditional cultural values. The inspection teams regularly make patrols of the areas around the temple, stay in front of the gate of Thien Hau Lady temple, absolutely not letting the situation of begging, burning votive papers…occur; strictly inspect services and list prices publicly. If discovering that organizations and individuals take advantage of the festival to increase prices, they need to give timely advice to handle these infringements strictly.
