Over 99% of students in Thuan An participate in health insurance

On September 28, Thuan An city’s People's Committee held a conference to review the local health insurance work for students in the 2021-2022 school year, set out directions and tasks for the 2022-2023 school year.

With the attention and direction of the city’s People's Committee, the active cooperation of the city’s Division of Education and Training, departments, sectors, mass organizations, People's Committees of communes, wards and managing boards of schools, the local work of health insurance for students achieved high results in the 2021-2022 school year.

In the last school year, the whole city had 50 schools and educational institutions with a total of 77,916 students. Among them, there were 74,947 participating in health insurance and 2,334 participants in accordance with other subjects, or nearly 99.19% of total. There were 35 out of 50 schools and educational institutions with 100% of students participating in health insurance.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Thuan An city will continue promoting propaganda on health insurance policies, and the application of VssID digital social insurance in order to raise students and parents’ awareness and sense of responsibility of the role, meaning, benefit and responsibilities of participating in health insurance in order to create a strong change in awareness to voluntarily participate in health insurance. Along with that, the city will strengthen a health network in schools, effectively manage and use expenses extracted from the Students Health Insurance Fund in accordance with regulations...

On this occasion, Vietnam Social Insurance awarded the certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual. Provincial Social Insurance also presented the certificates of merit to 32 collectives and 32 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing health insurance policies for students in the 2021-2022 school year.
