Pilot project on bilingual education at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted implemented

Early March 24, provincial People's Committee held a meeting to hear a report of provincial Department of Education and Training on the project of organizing bilingual teaching in Vietnamese - English at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted in the period of 2023-2030. The meeting was attended by Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Accordingly, from the 2023-2024, school year, the province will pilot the project on organizing bilingual teaching at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted. The project is implemented over a period of 8 years and divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 (2023-2025) is to build a foundation for teaching subjects in English; Phase 2 (2026-2030) is to focus on developing and improving the quality of teaching and learning subjects in English.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ha noted that bilingualism is not only taught at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, but it is necessary to be implemented in all schools from elementary to high-school levels in the province to ensure the route and inheritance between school levels.
