The Central Bhikkhuni Sub-Committee supports resources for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control

In the morning of September 23, at Hoi Khanh Pagoda, the Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee of the province coordinated with the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in the province to receive resources to support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic initiated by the Central Bhikkhuni Sub-Committee. Attending the reception was Mr. Nguyen Huynh Dinh, Deputy Chairman of the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, the Senior Venerable Thich Hue Thong, Deputy Secretary General of the Executive Council and Chief of Office 2 of the Central Association, and Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Binh Duong province.

In order to contribute to support Binh Duong province in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, this time, the Central Bhikkhuni Sub-Committee has given Binh Duong health sector 50 temperature maintaining boxes to keep vaccines, 400 sets of level-4 protective suits, 4,800 level-3 protective suits and 4,000 medical gloves at a total value of nearly VND 165 million.

At the reception, Mr. Nguyen Huynh Dinh expressed his deep gratitude for the very practical and meaningful support of the Central Bhikkhuni Sub-Committee as well as the Senior Venerable Thich Hue Thong, himself, for connecting to get more resources to support for the provincial health sector. Immediately after receiving, the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee handed over the supporting resources to Department of Health to coordinate with medical units in need in a bid to contribute to the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic. .

* Also in the morning of September 23, by the connection established by Senior Venerable Thich Hue Thong, Quan Am Pagoda of Ho Chi Minh city Monastery, visited and presented Thoi Hoa Field Hospital in Ben Cat town with many goods to support frontline doctors and medical staffs in the fight against the epidemic and Covid-19 patients who are being treated at the site.

Representative of Quan Am Pagoda of Ho Chi Minh city Monastery presented to the hospital 100 boxes of noodles, 300 boxes of Vinamilk milk, 50 boxes of sausages, 50 boxes of dry food, 62 boxes of Vitamin C, 120 boxes of Ambroxol cough medicine, 120 Dopagan pain reliever, fever reducer and 1,000 bottles of treated wine for patients to drink as supporting during the treatment process.
