Strengthening tourism linkage in Southeastern region

On the afternoon of November 29, Binh Phuoc province hosted a conference to preliminarily review linkage for tourism development in the Southeastern region with provinces and cities, including Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh city. The event was attended by Doan Van Viet, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice- Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee and leaders of provinces and cities in the region.

The cooperation agreement on tourism development in the Southeastern region for the period of 2020-2025 was signed by six provinces and cities mentioned above on June 28, 2020. Over the past time, the provinces and cities regularly exchanged information about their annual tourism situation; planning work, long-term plans, information on tourism products; information on markets, trends and needs of domestic and international tourists; shared experience in State management of tourism. To develop tourism products, localities in the region also formed and organized tours linking the Southeastern region; surveyed and built connection of tourism products in provinces and cities; organized activities on tourism promotion...

At the conference, leaders of provinces and cities in the region and experts exchanged and discussed many contents and solutions to further promote linkage activities, contributing to promoting tourism of localities as well as the whole region. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of Binh Duong provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that linkages between localities are extremely necessary to create a value added chain for tourism products and expand tourism markets, make cooperation to promote development and stimulate tourism demand...
