On March 31, Department of Education and Training held the province-level contest for best students in the 2015-2016 academic year with participation of 1,489 secondary-school students. Subjects of the contest consisted of: math, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, literature, history, and geography, civics and English. The contestants did their tests during 150 minutes in forms of essays and multiple choices test.
The contest aimed to assess teaching quality of secondary schools, while students had an opportunity to show their aptitudes in learning. Based on the results, the Department will select students having high achievements for higher contests. As scheduled, the Department will announce the results on April 20.
