108 groups gather to participate in Thu Dau Mot City’s Lion Dance Festival
A representative of the Center for Culture, Information and Sports of Thu Dau Mot City said that on February 9, Thu Dau Mot City will organize a lion dance festival to celebrate the Party and the Snake Spring 2025.
The festival is organized to provide a platform for lion dance troupes, both local and from outside the city, to gather, share, and learn from each other’s experiences. It aims to create a vibrant, healthy, and enjoyable environment for the community at the start of spring. Additionally, the festival contributes to the preservation and development of traditional art forms in the city.
The festival will take place at 7:30 a.m. on February 9, on Hung Vuong Street (in front of Phu My Ward Cultural and Sports Center), adjacent to Pham Ngoc Thach Street. This festival will gather 108 lion dance troupes, which will perform a series of acts to entertain the audience for 120 minutes. It is known that at this festival, Thu Dau Mot City will jointly set a Vietnamese record for the largest number of lion dance troupes performing together.
