10th session of the VIII term provincial People’s Council wraps up

On Dec. 6, the 10th session of the VIII term provincial People’s Council ended after more than 2 working days with seriousness, democracy and responsibility.  The provincial People’s Council chairman Pham Van Canh reads the 10th session closing speech.At the session, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung made clear solutions of implementing local goals of socio-economic development in 2014. Cung said that the provincial instruction is to develop Binh Duong urban space into a centralized urban group in the South and satellite urban areas in the North. Accordingly, Thu Dau Mot urban area and Binh Duong New City are the central urban areas, making premise for implementing goals and criteria of building Binh Duong province into the first class urban area by 2020. Therefore, building planning and issuing regulation of urban architecture planning management are urgent tasks after changing into urban administration.Replying deputies’ query of improving quality of health check-up and treatment, developing manpower for local medical sector to ensure effective operation of established-newly hospitals, the provincial People's Committee chairman said that the provincial People's Committee has accelerated investments from the State budget and socialization to repair, upgrade, expand material facilities for local medical sector, especially the provincial general hospital. At present, the local administration has focused on improving and upgrading infrastructure facilities of the provincial general hospital in a bid to meet local people’s demand on health check-up and treatment.  The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung explains issues at the 10th session.At the session, the provincial People’s Committee chairman explained contents of educational investment, tax debt settlement, order and security and many more. “In 2014, the local administration will continue to focusing on solving difficulties in production and business, launching effectively the central instructions and policies on economic stability, investment structure, business renovation and arrangement, improving the State’s capacity and management on planning, urban, natural resources, environment management as well as proactively controlling climate change and other fields”, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung explained. The session ratified 19 resolutions relating to fields of economy, budget, basic construction investment, land price and approved project of announcing Thu Dau Mot city winning the second class urban criteria, some plannings and decisions and so on.   Deputies ratify 19 resolutions at the 10th session.Addressing the 10th session closing ceremony, the provincial People’s Council chairman Pham Van Canh said that the 10th session had more than 60 ideas and petitions raised by voters and deputies. These petitions showed a high agreement on reports of local socio-economy, national defense, security in 2013, orientations and tasks for 2014 and solutions of the session.
