12 artisans awarded “meritorious artisan” title

According to provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism, 12 local artisans in the fields of don ca tai tu, cai luong (southern traditional music), hat boi (classical Vietnamese opera) and the Bong Roi (performed in southern temple festivals) have just been conferred the “meritorious artisan” title under the Decision No.2533/QD-CTN and 2534/QD-CTN issued by the State President.

The title-awarding ceremony is expected to be organized by the end of the year. It is known that under the Decision No.253 that took effect from Nov.15, 2015, the whole countries had a total of 600 individuals awarded the “meritorious artisan” title and 17 ones posthumously bestowed the title.
