150 P&G “Making dreams come true” scholarships awarded to poor-but-excellent pupils

Early August 3, provincial Labor Union in collaboration with Procter and Gamble Vietnam Co.Ltd. held a ceremony to award 150 “Making dreams come true” scholarships worth VND1million each to the offspring of needy civil servants and laborers with good academic results in the 2018-2019 academic year, in attendance of Trinh Duc Tai, Head of provincial People’s Council’s Commission for Socio-Cultural Affairs together with representatives of some sectors and departments in the province.

It is known that the company has so far awarded more than 2,200 scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils. Addressing the ceremony, Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union affirmed that this was a significant deed, contributing to taking care of the local pupils.

*The same day, Thu Dau Mot city and Thuan An town-based branches of the Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) awarded CEP scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils in the 2017-2018 academic year.

It is known that each scholarship is worth between VND1.5million and VND2.5million. The total expense of the scholarship program is estimated at VND295million.
