The provincial Study Promotion Society yesterday held the 15th anniversary of Vietnam Study Promotion Day (Oct. 2, 1996-2011) and the 8th anniversary of provincial Study Promotion Society.

 The provincial Study Promotion Society receives emulation flag. 

The society has over the past 8 years contributed to local study promotion movement with 100% of districts and townships setting up 487 study promotion sub-societies with 16,657 members and 90 out of 91 wards and communes having community study centers.

Annually, the society at all levels in cooperation with the local education and training sector launch activities such as study promotion month, scholarship granting and so on. The entire province has so far granted scholarships to 182,315 students and gifts to 10,797 teachers with the total value of VND55bil. The local economic sectors, party and state agencies also granted 110,285 notebooks, 583 bikes, over 1,000 clothes, 5,390kg of rice and 2 charity houses to poor students.

On the occasion, the society was conferred emulation flag by the central Study Promotion Association. In addition, 7 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded merit certificates by the provincial People’s Committee for their excellent achievements.
