*204 cases of close contact with patient 3710 under mandatory 21-day quarantine
The province’s health sector has just taken samples for Covid-19 testing for 50 foreign experts who are under concentrated isolation at hotels in the province. Among them, 17 were sampled for the third time on the 20th day during the 21-day period of isolation; 21 sampled for the second time and 12 sample for the first time. As a result, all 50 cases were negative for Covid-19.
These experts entered Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat airport and were isolated at 3 paid hotels in the province, including: Dai Nam Hotel, Saigon Park Resort Hotel, Tan Khoi Dat Hotel. As of May 14, Dai Nam Hotel has received 158 experts for isolation, Saigon Park Resort Hotel with 72 experts and Tan Khoi Dat Hotel with 16 experts.
Thus, the province has so far received 2,855 foreign experts, most of them mainly entered Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat airport. Among them, there were 6 experts positive for Covid-19. The experts who enter Binh Duong to work are investors, technical experts, skilled workers, business managers. Before the date of entry, experts must test for SARS-CoV-2 by the Real timePCR method for the period of 3-7 days. Testing for SARSCoV-2 is carried out at a laboratory approved by the Government or in the laboratory system of the World Health Organization.
*Related to the Covid-19 patient 3710 who was recorded by the Ministry of Health in Binh Duong as a Vietnamese citizen returning from Korea; through the working process and according to the professional opinion of the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh city, the province has continued isolating for another 21 days for 204 people who have been in close contact with the patient and isolate for another 7 days for remaining 223 people.
It is known that the Covid-19 patient 3710 who returned home with 386 citizens on 2 flights VN405, VN409 was regulated by the Military Zone 7 to Binh Duong and was isolated in Bau Bang district’s isolation area. Among Vietnamese citizens returning home this time, there are 41 children under 1 year old, without parents returning with them, so 41 grandparents of these 41 children went to the isolation ward to take care of them. On May 12, the province’s health sector took the patient’s sample for Covid-19 testing for the third time to complete the 21-day isolation. As a result, the patient was positive for Covid-19.
