2,500 gifts donated to needy workers

Di An city's Labor Union has just coordinated with trade union locals of many businesses to visit, extend Tet greetings and offer 2,500 gifts worth VND1 million each to workers who can’t afford to return their hometowns for Tet.

Pham The Hien, Chairman of Di An city’s Labor Union said that from now until the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2023, the city's Labor Union will further give 150 gifts for workers suffering from fatal, occupational diseases or hit by labor accidents; donate 300 “banh chung, banh tet” (sticky rice paper) to workers at lodging facilities; give 150 bus tickets for workers to return their hometowns in the Southwestern and Central Highlands regions for Tet; mobilize 500 gifts and 1,500 gifts from donors and trade union locals to take care of workers with difficult circumstances... on Tet. In addition, the city’s Labor Union will conduct “zero dong” market-days, artistic-cultural and sports activities, and coordinate with mass organizations exempt or reduce rental charges for workers.
