Early July 17, TDM city’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports kicked off the 2014 Open Vovinam for Teenagers and Children at the city’s sporting event hall.

This year’s tournament absorbed more than 150 athletes aged between 12 and 15 from 16 units across the city. These athletes competed in events: demonstration and combat for both boys and girls’ weight categories.

It is known that the tournament aimed to promote the local Vovinam movement among pupils, create an useful playground for them in the summer; improve their pupils’ health, contributing to comprehensively educating them and speeding up sports movements at school.
