2016 “Drinking water, remember its source” Week and “Green operation” Campaign launched in Di An

Di An town’s Youth Union yesterday held a ceremony to launch the 2016 “Drinking water, remember its source” Week and “Green operation” Campaign. Nearly 500 Youth Union members, soldiers under the Engineers Brigade 550,  Military School and the Brigade 434 attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, leaders of the town, Youth Union members together with soldiers belonging the above units burn incense to commemorate heroic martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence.

Participants also got involved in many significant activities, including visiting and presenting gifts worth VND1million; providing medical check-up for 10 policy beneficiary families and heroic Vietnamese mothers; upgrading houses for poor households; dredging around 200 meters of ditches; eradicating illegal advertising boards, cleaning up 2 streets Le Hong Phong and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai; providing free medical check-ups and medicine for 80 poor people and young workers…
