2016 open Southeastern Karatedo championship absorbs 13 teams
Provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism yesterday kicked off the 2016 open Southeastern Karatedo Championship at provincial Center for Physical Training and Sports.
This year’s tournament has attracted more than 140 athletes from 13 units in and out of the province, including Binh Duong 1, Binh Duong 1, Dong Nai, An Giang, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Lam Dong, Hau Giang, Can Tho, Binh Thuan, Dong Thap, the National SportsTraining Center and the Ministry of Public Security.
Athletes will compete in the team and individual demonstration and combat events at the tournament. And they had animated performance with the noble spirit of sports right after the tournament was opened, luring a large number of the local audience.
The tournament is also a chance for the organizers to assess the movement of Karatedo and sort out outstanding athletes for the local Karatedo team while marking the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Sports Day (Mar.27, 1946-Mar.27, 2016).
