"2023 Culture and Culinary Week of Thu Land" kicks off

On August 26, at Thu Dau Mot Park, People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City held the opening ceremony of "Thu Land’s Culture and Culinary Week 2023”. The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Van Dong, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee.

This is an activity in a series of cultural activities held in Thu Dau Mot city to celebrate the 78th successful August Revolution and September 2nd National Day, the 75th anniversary of Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee (August 1948 - August 2023).

The week takes place from August 26 to September 2 (from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily), with more than 40 booths. The event includes main activities to meet the people's demands for entertainment, food enjoyment and shopping, including: food stalls; booths to display, introduce and sell traditional craft products and consumer goods; culinary demonstration. Every night, at the main stage, there is also an art performance program to serve visitors.

At the opening ceremony, Thu Dau Mot City presented 10 gifts to disadvantaged households; 30 scholarships to excellent students having difficult circumstances in preparation for the new year 2023-2024. Each gift, scholarship is worth 1 million VND.
