2023 open Binh Duong traditional boat race to be held on April 20 ahead

With the desire of promoting the movement of practicing sailing in the whole province while creating a competition environment for athletes to exchange experience, on the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30), provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize the 2023 open Binh Duong Traditional Boat Race.

It is known that the tournament will bring together strong boat teams from 9 districts, towns and cities in the province. It also features guest teams from neighboring provinces. The selected venue for the competition is the Saigon River section in the Bach Dang Park area in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Cuong ward.

Participating teams will compete in composite plastic boats with a number of 12 athletes, competing in two events of 500m men's stretch and 3,000m men's stretch. As of now, they have been allowed to register to compete until the end of April 10 at the Department of Movement and Competition Organization under provincial Center for Training and Sports Competition. This will be a tournament that promises to be very attractive right on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the South.
