23 individuals, collectives awarded certificates of merit

Early June 9, provincial Health Department held a conference to review its implementation of the national policy on traditional medicine, pharmacy between 2003 and 2010 and implement a plan of the province’s traditional medicine, pharmacy development till 2020.

After seven years of implementing the above policy, the province’s network on management and examination-treatment by traditional medicine and pharmacy saw improvement and development. There were 35 subjects on scientific research and application by traditional medicine and pharmacy. The province also well realized health insurance policies pertaining to the task of examination and treatment by traditional medicine and pharmacy.

Addressing the conference, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi praised the sector for its achievements done over the past time. He also asked for the province’s relevant agencies to pay attention provincial Oriental Medicine Association and uphold its role, create favorable conditions for relevant associations; further perfect the organization of the traditional medicine and pharmacy management system from provincial to grassroots levels…

On this occasion, 23 individuals and collectives were awarded the certificates of merit of the Ministry of Health and the provincial People’s Committee for their achievements in the implementation of the above policy. The Hai Thuong Lan Ong Awards were also presented to 3 individuals for their good performance in the task of preserving and developing the local traditional medicine and pharmacy sector.
