25 years, looking back to fly further…

Binh Duong went through a quarter century for construction and development since its separation from Song Be (January 1, 1997). During the past journey, with the solidarity and high unity from the political determination to the actions of the Party, government, people and the business community, Binh Duong achieved great successes in all fields.

Together with many successes, there were also difficulties for change. To reach a new height for development, Binh Duong has forwarded re-evaluation, appropriate strategic planning with more steady steps.

The scientific workshop: "Binh Duong, a quarter century: Achievements and prospects" scheduled to take place in mid- April, 2022 is not an exception to that purpose.

Binh Duong's success in the last quarter of a century must be heard and known by many people, acknowledged and appreciated by ministries, sectors and localities across the country. Binh Duong brand in construction and development was beyond national frontiers, absorbing many partners, investors and was known by organizations, international forums to cooperate and develop together. As a purely agricultural and underdeveloped province, Binh Duong has firmly become a locality with strong economy, people's daily life constantly improved after 25 years with breakthrough, flexible and creative strategies.

25 years ago, choosing industry as a breakthrough in economic development created a resound and success bearing the "brand" of Binh Duong. This breakthrough is seen as the lever for the accelerated parallelism of trade - services and agriculture. And, when the economy has enough potential, that is the most basic condition for Binh Duong to focus on infrastructure construction, urban development, education, healthcare... with great determination, becoming a smart, worth-living city, friendly and affectionate city.

Becoming a smart city, a locality with a green, smart and sustainable economy must be a strategy, and must have a methodical preparation. Building a smart city can be considered as a new and bold breakthrough of Binh Duong. Binh Duong smart city is also understood as finding creative and smart solutions to serve economic development and improve people's quality of life. With the set goals and available conditions, Binh Duong will create mechanisms and policies for scientists, research institutes, universities and the business community to join hands for implementation.

And, the scientific workshop: "Binh Duong province, the journey of a quarter century: Achievements and prospects" with the gathering of many scientists, leading experts plus Binh Duong's thoughtful preparation for the event is an opportunity for the province to look back, listen to, receive and perfect a new and higher development strategy, catching up with the trend of the era.
