2nd national “Don Ca Tai Tu” festival, opportunity for Binh Duong to promote tourism

In April 2017, along with celebrating the 42^nd anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Unification, the organization of the 2^nd National “Don Ca Tai Tu” (southern folk music) Festival is also a chance for Binh Duong to absorb tourists.

Nguyen Duc Minh, Director of provincial Tourism Promotion Center said that the center has sent a plan on the organization of the festival to localities and travel units so that they are able to design and provide tours to Binh Duong on this occasion.

To catch this opportunity, travel units have set up tours to Binh Duong. Particularly, Gala Tour & Event Company in TDM city has designed a tour from Saigon to Binh Duong. Noticeably, the tour has a combination of visiting tourist sites in the province and taking part in the 2^nd National “Don Ca Tai Tu” Festival in Binh Duong New City.

The festival will be the opportunity for 21 participating localities to exchange “Don Ca Tai Tu” as well as showing specific dishes of each locality. In terms of tourism, Binh Duong is now home to 28 travel units and 3 representative offices. This is also the chance for the province to promote the local tourism.

Representative of Saigon Tourist’s Binh Duong branch said that the company plans to implement tours to Binh Duong on this occasion. Apart from visiting the festival, the company will take tourists to other tourist sites in Binh Duong while preparing a plan taking them back the province on the upcoming Liberation Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1) holidays.

Hoang Xuan Vinh, Head of Dat Viet Tour’s representative office in Binh Duong said that on this occasion, the company has designed a tour to tourist sites in the province.

With 111 hotels and motels, including 30 with one to five-star standards, Binh Duong will meet tourists’ demand during the festival.

It is known that the festival will take place with various attractive programs, comprising of a “Don Ca Tai Tu” space with the participation of 21 provinces and cities, a gastronomy space, a festive night honoring musicians and artists who have outstanding contributions to the development of Don Ca Tai Tu. Especially, there will be an ancient motor parade, beginning from Binh Duong Avenue to Pham Ngoc Thach, Hung Vuong, Le Loi in TDM city and ending at the central square of provincial Integrated Administration Center.
