Early November 12, Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting to approve plan for aligning sub-departments and profession units of the province. Under the plan, 4 sub-departments and 20 profession units shall belong to departments and sectors, 6 district-level profession units shall be merged and aligned to departments, sectors, districts, towns, and Thu Dau Mot City.The purposes were to reduce joints, to minimize quantity of sub-departments and profession units under departments, boards, sectors, and districts, to remedy the scattering of State’s management duties as well as supply of public services in some sectors and fields, to concentrate and promote current facilities, equipment, and human resources.Concluding the meeting, Deputy Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Tran Van Nam demanded Department of Internal Affairs and related departments and sectors to consider the merging and alignment of units under high unity before reporting to Standing Committee of Provincial People’s Committee as an significant task that the related units should be implementing to improve capacity and effectiveness of State’s management and public services.Reported by Tri Dung – Translated by Vi Bao
