465 trade violations handled in first 5 months of 2025
According to provincial Steering Committee for Anti-smuggling, Counterfeit Goods and Trade Fraud, in the first five months of 2025, provincial authorities conducted inspections on nearly 2,000 cases, handled 465 violations and collected over VND 18 billion in fines for the State budget. Most violations involved the sale of smuggled goods, commercial fraud and breaches of food safety regulations. A common method of commercial fraud today is the misuse of e-commerce platforms, social media and tech-based delivery services to trade in banned goods, counterfeit items and products of unknown origin.
In the coming period, provincial Steering Committee 389 will continue proactively monitoring key areas, organizing appropriate enforcement forces, thoroughly investigating and resolving complex cases to create a strong deterrent effect.
