The provincial Health Department yesterday held the 58th anniversary of Vietnam Physicians’ Day (Feb. 27, 1955-2013) with the attendance of the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Huynh Van Nhi, reps of agencies and former leaders of the local Health Department and medical units.

 

At the ceremony, participants heard about tradition of health sector. Implementing Uncle Ho’s teaching of “Good physicians are like mothers”, the local health sector’s cadres and employees in the past year improved difficulties to excel their tasks.

 

Grassroot medical network were reinforced and developed. Work of disease epidemic control was actively launched. The national medical goal programs reached and surpassed plans and medical socialization was spurred in the past year.

 

Addressing the ceremony, Huynh Van Nhi highly valued and applauded efforts of physicians, cadres, public servants and employees of medical sector. In addition, he stressed that the local medical sector should excel the medical goal programs, community healthcare, reinforce quality and quantity of medical human resources, spur promulgation on all people health insurance in a bid to raise rate of health insurance participants…

 

On this occasion, one workgroup and 3 individuals were awarded third class Labor Order, one collective and 10 individuals received merit certificates from the PM and other excellent individuals won certificates from high ranking agencies.
