In the morning of June 30, at Binh Duong provincial Exhibition and Convention Center, the provincial Red Cross cooperated with Cho Ray Blood Transfusion Center (HCMC) to organize a blood donation day in response to the campaign of summer 2021 with the theme of "Donating blood saves lives - Starting from managers".

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of Binh Duong provincial Red Cross visits and encourages blood donors

Cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers from provincial agencies, departments and branches who are working in the provincial Administrative Center Building have registered to participate. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, in the past time, many blood donation drives have been canceled or postponed, greatly affecting the blood reserve for treatment at medical facilities. Therefore, the provincial Red Cross organized the blood donation day to have more blood sources to contribute to reducing the risk of lacking for treatment, especially during the time when the Covid-19 epidemic is still complicated.

To ensure safety in epidemic prevention and control, the organizers have arranged participants to donate blood in different time frames to avoid crowding at the same time. The organization always ensured the regulations on distance and medical examination before donating blood; blood donors are also required to make medical declarations and fully comply with the "5K" message of Ministry of Health. As a result, the organizers collected 161 blood units.
