Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 2090/QD-UBND adjusting and approving the Planning for exploration and use of minerals as common construction materials in Binh Duong province for the period of 2016-2020, with a vision to 2030.
Accordingly, the province put 7 mining areas into the auction of mineral exploitation rights. Specifically, they include Tam Lap quarry in Phu Giao district’s Tam Lap commune, with 29.15 hectares; Thuong Tan 7 quarry (zone II), with 25 hectares in North Tan Uyen district’s Thuong Tan commune; quarries in Phu Giao district’s Tam Lap commune, Phuoc Vinh township, stream branch No. 1-1 of Dau Tieng reservoir, sand mine of stream branch No. 2, sand mine of stream branch No. 5-2 in Dau Tieng reservoir with 19.55 hectares, 10 hectares, 20.61 hectares, 20 hectares and 19.73 hectares, respectively.
Provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment has set up an auction plan and plan for auctioning mineral mining rights, submitting them to provincial People's Committee for approval and implementing further procedures in accordance with regulations. For mines that have had exploration results, the auction winning unit is responsible for refunding exploration costs to the units that have explored in accordance with the provisions of the law on minerals. Other contents in Decision No. 2497/QD-UBND dated September 26, 2016 of provincial People's Committee that are not contrary to this decision still remain legally valid.
